My real name is Daniel Entwistle but to the hords that mob me like a modern day messiah I am 'the magic man'. I have performed in clubs, bars, resturants and peoples homes but the street is the place I love to share my magic. I have always been facinated by strange mysterious things and I have always been an attention seeker. And so with these two elements combined it was obvious that I would turn out to be either the high priest of some new age cult, a shamen or an illusionist. I was born in a town called Bacup, this meant the role of  an illusionist would be the easiest to present.  

My freakshow act is inspired by old side-show routines, shock circus arts and fakir/ mind over matter demonstrations. In the days of the traveling side-show there were shock artists called 'Geeks', the Geeks main goal was to turn peoples stomachs and empty some along the way. They would scurry about in animal-like trances, screaming and performing disgusting acts. Unfortunatly this delightfully grotesc race is dying out. People today just won't accept bitting heads off live chickens and snakes for art anymore.

Some of my act is taken from classic Fakir demonsrations. A fakir is a person who has trained his mind to overcome fear and pain through meditaion. In some cultures it wouldn't be unusual to come across a fakir performing in the street alongside contortionists and fire breathers. The art of the fakir is so strong, even some religious leaders and Monks have adopted their demonstrations to potray super-human ability and protection from god. Some Buddhist followers even slept on beds of thorns because of the belief that pain made the soul blossom. 

Ever since I discovered magic and un-natural performace I have devoted my life to perfecting the art. I love the idea of having real magical and pshycic powers, possesing the abilty to move things with your mind, predict the future, make objects appear and disappear into thin air and being able to tell someone you have never even met before intimate details about themself that couldn't possibly know unless you were truly pshycic.  I'm putting toghether a mind reading act with palm reading, metal bending, thought prediction, ESP experiments and loads more.
